Remote Support Pack, cannot register
hi
i installed hp sim 5.1 with latest service pack, updated all the software of the remote service pack, and when i now go to Remote Support Configuration and Services in the HP sim console and enter my company information, it tries to register and then ends up on the same page as i started and says
Remote Support has not been registered
i have full http and https access and do not make use of proxy's
has anyone else come across this problem and has a fix for it?
many thanks
rogier

Re: Remote Support Pack, cannot register
I was having this problem today as well. After about the 5th try it finally worked and registered. ( There are also issues when configuring/registering RSP if you are using IE7. If you are not already, you may want to try IE6 or Firefox.)
You should also make sure you are logged in through the console (can be verified with "start --> run --> cmd --> quser.) quser should show session ID 0. If the session ID is equal to anything except for zero, then you should relaunch Remote Desktop with the "console" box checked ( or "start --> run --> "mstsc /console SIM_Server_Hostname" )
Good Luck!
