hi i use hp sim 5.3 sp1 with pmp 5.2.1 and monitor 4 servers (for pmp) i noticed that my pmp database has grown to nearly 2gb and the log file is currently 5gb i use sql expres 2005. I confess i do not know much about sql and am wondering if a) hp sim / pmp does not have a build in clean up schedule of the transaction log files it creates (for instance my blackberry server does this automatically, the script is part of the setup) but more importantly does anyone know how to keep the size down of the database and log files and i how i can reduce the size of these files as my server is starting to run out of diskspace i don't really use pmp anymore so i could easily uninstall it and remove the sql files and reinstall it at some stage many thanks for your help ... hi i am running a cisco cucm 6.1 on 2x hp dl320 G5 i have a rilo card installed on this server i have configured a monitoring application to pull the ambient temperature from the rilo card by checking the snmp oid 10.3.6.1.4.1 instance 232.6.2.6.8 this works fine for all my other servers as i know the exact snmp community name but i do not know what the snmp community name is for this DL320 G5 so it does not work i have tried the default public but this does not work, would anyone know how you can figure out what hte snmp read community name is on a dl320 g5 if you are running cisco cucm 6.1 (which is basically linux based) many thanks rogier ... hi i have recently upgraded from pmp 4.1 to 4.7 and with the old version i could not use pmp for a dl360g4p but with 4.7 i cannot either also i now have a 2003 r2 enterprise x64 os running on a dl380 g5 and this can also not be managed by pmp 4.7 (hp sim 5.2 sp2) it gives me the same error unsupported configuration is there anything i can do to get this to work ... hi i have a DL380 G5, in configured HP teaming and put all settings to automatic (recommded) and left everything else default assigned an IP address to the HP team and everything works well and status shows 200mb full , (i have 10/100mb switches not giga), and it shows status transmit load balancing with fault tolerance (TLB) i noticed that in the HP team nic1 is tx/rx and nic2 is transmit only mode i wanted to test the HP team so i disconnected the nic that is in transmit only mode and i can no longer make any RPC calls but icmp and nslookup for instance continue to work. when i plug the transmit only cable back in the situation remains the same, only when i unplug the tx/rx nic do things start to work again. when i plug the tx/rx nic cable back in the hp team goes back to 200mb full and everytying works. conclusion is unplugging tx/rx nic is okay but unplugging the tx only nic causes the hp team to stop working. i have installed lastest firmware and nic drivers being driver version 9.3.0.0 and nic hardware is NC373i running on windows 2003 r2 x64 enterprise edition. i tested other dl proliant servers i have (windows 2003 sp2 standard x86) and with the same settings i do get a working failover without any of the above issues. anyone else seen this? cheers i t ... hi i installed hp sim 5.1 with latest service pack, updated all the software of the remote service pack, and when i now go to Remote Support Configuration and Services in the HP sim console and enter my company information, it tries to register and then ends up on the same page as i started and says Remote Support has not been registered i have full http and https access and do not make use of proxy's has anyone else come across this problem and has a fix for it? many thanks rogier ...
