Re: Remove licenses - How to ??

From http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> License Options --> Questions and Answers

Q5. Can I move my licenses from one target to another?
A5. For ProLiant Essentials Value Pack software, the licenses are not transferable. It is a violation of the EULA to do so. If you retire a licensed hardware configuration and replace it with another, you will need to purchase a new copy of the value pack for your new hardware. ProLiant Essentials Value Pack software are listed below or visit the ProLiant Essentials website.

ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack products, such as Insight Manger and SmartStart, and ProLiant Essentials Foundation Pack Extras, such as the SmartStart Scripting Toolkit, may be freely moved from one server to another within the customerâ s environment unless otherwise restricted by the EULA. Any transfer to another customer requires HPâ s prior written approval.

Re: Remove licenses - How to ??

Hello.

I don't want to transfer them.
I have been trying Virtual Management Pack with the 60 day trial licenses. They are now on overdraft time, I don't want to use the management pack anymore.

I will install VMWare VirtualCenter instead.

Can I delete the expired lisenses from the hosts ??

Re: Remove licenses - How to ??

You could just remove VMM or just hide the VM Column from the display.
What is the problem you're trying to fix or is it just the display?

Hello.

It was just a question.

Re: Remove licenses - How to ??

I'd guess it depends on if you want to keep using HPSIM as the access point.

Virtual Centre must be able to function without VMM as VMM is only available for the HP Stuff.

Easy enough to test, you could remove VMM, you can reinstall it if required. A separate download is available.
