However, I am unable to now find where I can change the VCRM password. It has been lost, and so I can't correctly configure the VC clients to connect.
I tried to re-install the VCRM, but it said a downgrade was not allowed, and that I had to uninstall the VC agent first.
Is there a way around this, or must I do a full-deinstall of the VC and VCRM, then reinstall?

SolutionI struggled a lot with this myself. What I found is that it too, like the new System Management page 2.0, uses Windows authentication...but there is a catch. It is configured to not allow the use of the administrator account (to prevent that account from locking out).
You have to use another account that has local administrator rights to the VC Repository server. I think you can use a domain account, but I chose to use a local account on that server. For example, create a local account called VCAgent on the box and add it to the local administrators group on that server (just the VC repositor server, not the servers that will be connecting to it). Then when you configure the VC agent to connect to the respository, you use "servername", "vcagent", and "vcagentpassword" in the 3 fields provided.
Once I did this, it worked perfectly.
Let me know if this still does not work for you.
