Restore SIM - using "Config" directory
Hi,
My HP SIM Guide has a section entitled "Restoring the SQL Server Database From a Backup". In this section it talks about doing a restore of the Insight_v1_0 database (got this covered). It also talks about restoring the configuration sub-directory, named "config" where HP SIM is installed.
In terms of disaster recovery, having to rebuild my SIM server, etc. if I had a good copy of this "config" directory will I be able to see all of my previous SIM settings after I restore this directory? Are there any other steps I would need to take? What configurations, etc. does this "config" directory hold? What's most important to me is all of my Event Tasks that I've set up in the past - actions, time filters, severities for dozens of groups that I have set up.
Thanks as always. This forum has been an extremely helpful resource!
