RHEL4 PSP not notifying about failed drive

I have a RHEL4 machine where a drive failed. It had PSP 7.80 installed, I tried PSP 8.10, both cases it will not send a SNMP trap to SIM. Pressing the "Send Test SNMP Trap" inside of the System Management Home page will generate a trap, which SIM/OSEM/ISEE correctly forwards to HP to report it.

The agents are generating an email about the failed drive, but no SNMP trap is sent to SIM.

Any tips where to look why the agents are not generating a trap for a failed drive?
