Rollback from 4.2 to 4.1 frfom backup

Ok guys, We have a production evnviornment version of SIM 4.1SP1 running and we want to upgrade to 4.2. But, before we can move ahead I need to have a rollback procedure in place. tyrouble Im haveing is that every scenerio Ive run restoring for backup, both data and system state, causes Mxdomainmgr to spawn countless mxinventory proccess because it keeps restarting.This occurs when I rollback the database to its backedup state previous to upgrade. Question, how can I roll back SIM 4.2 from backup and reconnect to my pre-upgrade database backup without causing SIM to go crazy. Any Ideas?????
