Running SIM 5.0 and Compaq Insight Manager Version 5.20

Running SIM 5.0 and Compaq Insight Manager Version 5.20

I need to test the newest version of HP Insight 5.0 SIM. I feel for sure that running this on a difference server on the same LAN as our copy of Compaq Insight Manager Version 5.20 will not cause any issues, just double checking since I do not have the time to correct any issues if that may occur

No issues with them both on the network. Be careful, since you have CIM32 running, that means you have SNMP setup on the managed nodes. The nodes will need to ahve the trap destination set for the new SIM server, and whatever community string set in SIM that you use (on the Global Protocols page). Also, if you restrict SNMP hosts in Windows, the IP of the SIM server will need to be added.

In SIM, under Configure/Configure-Repair Agents, you can have SIM set all that for you once you discover them initially....
