Server Name Appended? - udp02183024uds

We are using HPSIM 5.1 and have noticed that some of the server names have some more characters appended to them and we were woundering if anyone knows why this happens and how do we get it back to the correct name?

EXAMPLE
Server Name: WFF999999SAS994

HPSIM Server Name: WFF999999SAS994-UDP02183024uds

The only way that HP SIM gets names is through DNS. What happens when you do a "ping -a xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" at the CMS to the offending system? What does 'dnslookup' show you?

Thanks for the information. If I ping WFF999999sas994 from the console it shows:

Pinging wff999999sas994.stipn.com [IP ADDRESS] with 32 bytes of data.

Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.

If I ping the WFF999999SAS994-UDP02183024UDS from the console it shows:

Pinging wff999999sas994-udp0218302uds.stipn.com [IP ADDRESS] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from IP Address
Reply from IP Address

I noticed they are two different IP Addresses. I will check with our networking folks to see if they can correct the DNS Table.
