Server not available for performance monitoring?
I have a server that was on HP agent version v6.0. The message displayed inside performance monitor pack stated that v6.2 or above is needed. I upgraded the agent version to v6.4 (did not reboot server). However, the performance management pack licensing window still shows that this server needs v6.2 agents above needed for performance monitoring. The HP SIM server has been rebooted. What else am I missing that's preventing this server from being monitored?
thanks!
thanks!

Re: Server not available for performance monitoring?
Most Support Packs need a reboot after installation.
Why 6.40? Is this an NT4 Server? If not, the 6.x Support Packs are getting a tad old now.
If you just updated the Agents that may not be enough. You should consider updating the entire Support Pack.

Re: Server not available for performance monitoring?
Remember also that HP SIM doesn't know about a change at a device until the Daily Device Identification task is run...

Re: Server not available for performance monitoring?
correct, I would make sure that the Data Collection task is run so that the latest 'software list' is captured. This happens when Data Collection or the Software Status Polling task runs, but by running full Data Collection, you get everything.
Then it should be okay...
