Setting up SNMP

How do you set up an SNMP community within HP SIM (for Windows). Can you just configure the SNMP service, add a trap destination, configure a community and configure information to forward and it works fine (HP SIM user guide) ??

Is there other documentation ??

It's probably simpler to set it up from the Windows Services Screen.
You need a suitable Read Only and Read Write Community name.
Initially you might want to Allow All Hosts access.
You need to set the Trap destination back to the HPSIM Server.
You need to set up HPSIM under Options / Protocol Settings / Global Settings and add the community names there.
Remember Community names are case sensitive.
