show specific drive failure in EVA
Hi!
I have HP SIM 6.3 monitoring 3 EVA systems via a CommandView server. HP SIM detects when a drive fails and sends me the appropriate alerts ( Storage Cell Event) -- but it does not tell me specifically which drive failed. I still have to log in to CVEVA and click through the tree to figure out which disk failed, or do a physical inspection. Is there a way to make HPSIM tell me specifically which drive failed?

Re: show specific drive failure in EVA
What version of EVA? Have you discovered the SAN managament applicance connected to it fully? Can you post the results of discovery? You may need to set credentials in SIM to connect to the SMI-S agent on you SMA
If my post was helpful please award me Kudos! or Points :)

Re: show specific drive failure in EVA
@shocko, she's getting alerts so all of that is working.
@nameless_girl, HP SIM is just passing along the information as CV gives it.
