SIM 4.1 and SQL Server
Hi, I'd like to have Insight Mgr's database connect to a separate server running SQL instead of using MSDE.
I'd like information on how large the database should be, how the schema and tables are configured in order to prepare.
Thanks in advance

Re: SIM 4.1 and SQL Server
The database and its tables are documented in "HP Systems Insight Manager Help Guide" at http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> HP SIM --> Information Library.
During installation you can name the server where SQL is hosted and supply a valid Windows authentication for connecting to the database and creating tables.

Re: SIM 4.1 and SQL Server
Yes, I saw that, but I'm looking for numbers, how large of a database is created initally, is it designed to grow as required.
So I can figure out approximatly how much disk space I will require and also backup.
Not looking for exact numbers, but ball park figures.
Thanks again.

Re: SIM 4.1 and SQL Server
Should be 100MB or less.
