SIM 4.1 - system types/product names
I monitor some non-snmp devices that I add to SIM through the Manual Discovery. This allows me to manually enter the Product name and choose the System type, which is great. But, any time the SIM server is rebooted or the SIM service is restarted, SIM seems to do a 'Identify Systems' on all known systems again. So it changes all my manually added devices back to 'Unmanaged' w/no Product name. Is there a setting/different method of adding devices that would resolve this? What am I doing wrong? Auto Discovery is turned off.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Re: SIM 4.1 - system types/product names
Check for an Identify Systems event under Options/Automatic Event Handling/Manage Tasks. If such an event exists, you'll want to delete it or schedule it to never run.

Re: SIM 4.1 - system types/product names
Thanks for the advise Terry. It turns out that it was a one time occurance cause I was unable to reproduce to problem. Must be an undocumented feature. Hopefully, one that will be removed in the next version.
Thanks again for the response.
