SIM 4.1 unable to monitor the server it is installed on.

I recently upgraded from cim7sp2 to sim 4.1 and am using trust all security setting, found a issues am unable to monitor or add the sever which is running the SIM application into the SIM database, the effect is that am also then unable to use vcrm as it is on the same server.

when i go to add the server into the database by using either its name or ip address - receive a message saying it already exists, but when checking it is not listed in any device listing.

anyone any ideas ?
