SIM 4.2 & PMP: Graph not shown on XP and 2K3
Hello,
when I open the SIM 4.2 Homepage (https://server:50000) from a client, then go to ALL SYSTEMS and then click on a systems performance icon the Performance Management Pack website opens. If I then click on GRAPH, I do not get graphics when the client is XP or W2K3.
I do however get a graph in case the client is W2KP, W2KS or NT4.
The problem does not seem to be JRE specific, because I tried several versions (1.4.2.05 up to 1.5.0.04) on working and non-working systems and always get the same results: no grahp shown on XP and 2K3.
All browser versions are IE 6 SP1.
XP and 2K3 clients do not show the graph as well running Firefox 1.0.4.
HP told me to create a read/write SNMP community named public on the client, but since clients without SNMP installed show the graph correctly, this doesn't seem to be a SNMP issue.
Any hints greatly appreciated.
Erhard

Re: SIM 4.2 & PMP: Graph not shown on XP and 2K3
Hello,
somewhere in this forum I read that the problem vanished suddenly one day.
I checked it and yes - it suddenly worked on all those systems that didn't work before.
In the meantime I set up a new SIM server with the latest 5.x SIM version. I disconnected the internet and checked again a newly installed client running XP SP2.
The HP PMP Graph tool was provided by the SIM server - so it seems there is no longer something downloaded from the Internet when using a XP SP2 oder W2K3 client.
Regards, Erhard
