SIM 5.0 SP3 Cluster Monitor with a blank frame

We have installed HP SIM 5.0 SP2. Our MSCE Cluster is identified as a MSCE Cluster. But when we klick on the Clustername we would expect to see the Cluster Monitor with Cluster Informations. All we get is a blank frame with the Title Cluster Monitor and the Cluster Name.
We did an update to SP3. No changes!

Re: SIM 5.0 SP3 Cluster Monitor with a blank frame

I am having the same problem - just noticed it yesterday. I have not tried SP3 yet, but from the sounds of it, it does not fix the problem based on your experiences.

I dont know when the problem started happening, but I just noticed it yesterday after I built a new 3-node cluster and added it to SIM.

I know of nothing that has changed in SIM itself, but obviously there have MS security updates added to the server recently.

I would be curious to know if others are having the same problem.

Same here, previously in SP2 and now also in SP3.

Re: SIM 5.0 SP3 Cluster Monitor with a blank frame

Mine starting working today (or at least I discovered it today).

The only thing I did was reboot my SIM server a few days ago. I had already tried that and it did not fix the problem then. But now it works?

No clue...but at least its working.

Netware clustering monitor still does not work - but then again, it never did with SIM5.

SP5 did not fix the problem with MSCS clusters here...

Re: SIM 5.0 SP3 Cluster Monitor with a blank frame

We are now running SIM 5.0 SP5. Since i deleted all physical Cluster nodes and virtual Machines and reinserted the Clusert nodes (Manual discovery), everything is working fine.

Re: SIM 5.0 SP3 Cluster Monitor with a blank frame

I tried this; even adding them manually, by IP and specifying type (Server or Cluster). Still no go. I was running an older version and uninstalled it and loaded 5.0 SP5. The only difference is that I loaded it with an account that has local admin on the HPSIM server and local admin on each of the cluster nodes (Trying to limit the accounts that have admin access). Does this make a difference? The cluster info is there on the nodes on the HP System Management Homepage; it seems HPSIM just won't display it.

Thanks

Re: SIM 5.0 SP3 Cluster Monitor with a blank frame

Same problem, with Sim 5.1, Fresh Install
I had many problems to discover the cluster itself, and know ; status unknown, blank page when following the cluster link.

Has anyone found what the problem is ?

Re: SIM 5.0 SP3 Cluster Monitor with a blank frame

refreshing the blank page causes HP SIM to display an error msg stating that it can't retrieve cluster info. It asks us to check the first SNMP community, to check the cluster is correctly configured, and running...

Has anyone a link to a document specifying how to configure everything, sothat i can check ????

Thank U
