SIM 5.1 SP1 lost all systems
In SIM I have lost all my systems.
Is it possible for HP SIM to stop working if the server it is running on is no longer under maintenace with HP.
also what files do I need to restore from backup to get the database back to the state it was in yesterday.

Re: SIM 5.1 SP1 lost all systems
It turns out the HP SIM database has reached its size limit due to the fact that I am using MSDE.
error
2008-02-27 17:45:05.75 spid57 Could not allocate space for object 'consolidatedNodeAuths' in database 'Insight_v50_0_10711111' because the 'PRIMARY' filegroup is full..
2008-02-27 17:45:05.84 spid54 CREATE/ALTER DATABASE failed because the resulting cumulative database size would exceed your licensed limit of 2048 MB per database.
2008-02-27 17:45:05.84 spid54 Error: 1105, Severity: 17, State: 2
It there anything I can do to delete data in the database to make it smaller and therefore useable for a short while.
Is their a prodcedure for moving onto to SQL properly. If so,can the database be on a different server from HP SIM.

Re: SIM 5.1 SP1 lost all systems
This should help:
http://h10018.www1.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/hpsim_5_migratingNewSystem.pdf
You want page 4 I believe that is titled:
Migrating HP SIM 5.0 with local MSDE database to another HP SIM system with remote MS SQL 2000 database....
Good luck...not something I would look forward to doing :)
