SIM 5.1
Insight Manager is filling the allocated tempdb space in SQL Server. Is it possible to limit or uncheck feature in Insight Manager not to use all the tempdb space in SQL Server.

Re: SIM 5.1
I believe we are seeing the same thing. I have SIM 5.1 installed on a BL20p and the db resides on a SQL cluster. We had an issue today where the tempdb was over 25GB. The only reason we noticed this was because another application had stopped working. I was on a call with HP that I needed to change the SIM db from Full Archival mode to Simple Archival mode and then to shrink the db. We did that almost 2 weeks ago and are now seeing the same problem. Hopefully someone from HP will see this and respond

Re: SIM 5.1
Our SIM 5.1 is installed to a DL30 G4 and the DB is installed to an SQL Cluster too. Our dbf is configured for Full Archival mode too and has not been changed.
We have not experienced the problem since I disabled the "Data collection" scheduled tasks. I'm not sure if this is actually the problem and have not had time to test it but there is definitely a configuration that needs to be identified.

Re: SIM 5.1
I spoke a little too soon about the tempdb and SIM. It was creating gigantic transaction logs in Full Archival mode, but the switch to Simple resolved that. I shutdown SIM for about 2 hours and our dba was able to monitor the SQL cluster and found that it was Microsoft SharePoint that has been filling the tempdb. It filled the tempdb twice today, once before and once after SIM was turned off.
