SIM 5.2 PSP deploy - can't use servcert.cer ?

A couple weeks ago, I asked what cert to use when deploying the PSP from SIM. David Claypool said that it's the one exported from HP SIM. I did that on my new 5.2 install, it creates a file called servcert.cer.

I'm now trying to deploy PSP 8.00A, and when I run "Configuration Wizard for the
HP System Management Homepage Component ", I browse to the file for the Trusted Certificate. SIM tells me
---------------------------
Windows Internet Explorer
---------------------------
Error: Unable to read the certificate file.
---------------------------

What do I do now?

Open the servcert.cer file in Notepad and use copy and paste to update the component. That way has always worked for me.

That appears to have done it. Any hints on why the Browse feature doesn't work? It didn't work for me with PSP 7.91 either.

Not sure it's ever worked for me, I've always just used that approach. No idea why it doesn't work, be intrigued to know who it does work for!

Hi!

It have to do with security "feature" inside IE.
Change that to trust everything when you configure it.
It worked for us.

Best regards.
