SIM 5.3 to 6 upgrade

Did some testing (export/import)on Development SIM but it was following upgrade from 5.3, which worked nicely BTW. Wondering about MXExport from 5.3 & the Migration tool. Seems when I run it on SIM5.3 server it just runs and then 'goes away'. In checking the bin directory I do see the MXExport and no MXImport. Where does the Migration.exe tool put the extracted files on 5.3 SIM?

Hello.
Same for me. It seems the mximport tool is only intended for Sim 6, not for 5.3.
On my Sim6 server, it's in the same location as mxexport.

Yes, Oliver same thing I noticed. Did try the mxexport and got zip file (not a standard zip though) and was able to re-import it without issue.
You have any issues with notifications following upgrade to v6?

Migration tool would copy mxexport.bat and mximport.bat in SIM's bin directory.
It would also create a folder called as 'data' under SIM directory.
Also would copy some jar's.
try looking for the dir(data) and jar called as
MigrationFramework.jar in SIM's lib folder to make sure whether the migration.exe ran properly.

and yes, oliver is correct ! mximport is only for 6.0. you cannot import into a 5.3.x machine.
use mxexport to backup your data in an encrypted zip file which can be used to import on a 6.0 machine
