SIM 5 hangs on install

I am installing SIM 5 to a machine using MSDE. The installer freezes on the screen saying "initialising and configuring menu structure"

In the install log the last entry is: - Compiling MIB and Populating MIB database ...................

I have tried to do the install twice now but its still not working. Anyone else have this problem?
