[SIM 6.2] HP agents/packages on virtual CMS?

Hi,

my CMS running SIM 6.2 and RSSWM is a virtual Windows Server 2003 hosted on a ESX 4.0 server. Do I need to install any HP agent/package on the virtual CMS? What about SNMP/WEBES agents?

Thank you all for help.

Re: [SIM 6.2] HP agents/packages on virtual CMS?

Pretty much doc'd how you do this.
You will need SNMP installed before you start.

Once HPSIM is installed you need to Edit System Properties of the Virtual Server and change it to a Proliant. That's required to get the WEBES functionality to work.

The HPSIM, WEBES and RSSWM installs bring down all that you need if memory serves.

The System Manage Homepage must be installed. The user interface of Remote Support Configuration and Services relays on the SMH.

But the SMH will be installed by the SIM install if it's not there. I think you only really need snmp installed to start.
