SIM access to System Management Home Page
Hi,
Within SIM some HP servers I click on the Health Status Icon and they and it opens a new browser window and connects to the SMHP for that server.
Other HP servers I have don't do that and simply open a page within SIM showing basic system status info.
How do I ensure every server links to the SMHP for that server?
Many Thanks
Mark.

Re: SIM access to System Management Home Page
Hi
This would mean that these other servers have either no SMH installed or misconfigured.
Check on one of them if SMH is installed : On the system page you mentionned (the page within sim), check if there is any System Management Link under More information. In Product description, down in the same page, there is a line for all the management protocols discovered on the server:
HTTP, SMH, SNMP, SSH
If the SMH is installed, try to run the configure and repair agent to fix the issue.
If the SMH is not installed (or not started as a service), check locally on the machine and Install it along with the relevant PSP.
The SMH is installed with Insight Agents during the PSP installation process.
hope it helps
fred

Re: SIM access to System Management Home Page
Thanks Fred,
It turned out to be IP Binding was ticked, but no hosts specified.
A security setting in our default build.
Thanks
Mark.
