SIM & Netserver, Vli8, Kayak XW etc
Hiya,
Question with the new SIM4.1 does it manage the Netservers through TopTools Agents ? And also the Vli8s and Kayak XW throught either TopTolls or there Insight version Agents and what is the loss between the two agents ?
IE if I dont use Toptools as the management frontend - but have TT Agents ???
Are the new Insight Agents as good as the Toptools ones on the old equipment
Thanks for any help
Ed

Re: SIM & Netserver, Vli8, Kayak XW etc
Insight agents are only for ProLiant servers. Netservers will use TT agents. Full details at http://www.hp.com/servers/proliant --> ISS Technoloogy Papers --> Advanced Technology --> Systems Management. The document was written for IM7 but it is all the same except you don't need to manually compile the MIB, it's already included.
