sim MSDE to SQL 2000

Hello,
I have installed sim with msde that came with it. but now i want to change my database to sql 2000.
does any one know how to do this?
How do i change the connaction string to the new database?

You can do a straight upgrade from MSDE to SQL. Just launch the SQL Server 2000 installation on the box. It will see the instance of MSDE and allow you to perform the upgrade.

If you are looking to move the database from the MSDE to another server running SQL 2000 it's a bit more complicated. I beleive you'll need to reinstall SIM and point to the SQL Server and let it recreate a new blank database for you. After installation of SIM, you can then copy the old database over onto the new one.
