SIM - no system name available, only IP address
Some systems appear in SIM only with the IP address. Even if they are manually discovered with the system name, they will appear in SIM only with their IP address.
However, DNS and WINS is working correctly (ie. ping on IP address resolves to hostname in command prompt).
Does anybody has some ideas?

Re: SIM - no system name available, only IP address
Try a reverse DNS lookup. If that works make sure that there is only one entry. None of my boxes that hade multiple reverse entries worked inside SIM

Re: SIM - no system name available, only IP address
I fixed this by adding the ip/server to the local host file on the SIM server and readding the device.

Re: SIM - no system name available, only IP address
You should check the DNS or the Hostfile.
There should only one Address for the Sever.
I had the same problem an two entries in my DNS.
