SIM notifications

Am new to SIM and can nayone tell me how to set it up so it sends notifications via email regarding critical and major alerts. Probably an amateur question but I need to do this.

Hi Yotto,

For SIM 5.2

1. From the "Options" tab - select - "Events" - "Automatic Event Handling" - "E-mail Settings". Within this window you set your SMTP(Mail) server, originator email address and username/password if required.

2. From the "Options" tab - select - "Events" - "Automatic Event Handling" - "Manage Tasks". You will need to create a new task using "Important Events" and can define the recipient email address within this task.
