SIM sending e-mail with delay (days)

I have a HP SIM 4.2 setup that is sending emails about critical and major events.
Testing has shown that the email is actually received by our email server seconds before the email arrives at the destination.
From this i can conclude that SIM is accumulating mail before sending them.
This behaviour is not good because events are not followed upon correctely.
I have no time rescrictions for the mails.
