SIM + Server Product ID

SIM + Server Product ID

I have the contract module working but some of my servers aren't getting any product ID at all, I have try re discovering them, Upgrades to latest Support Pack (7.60)and still not show up nor in SIM or on local server web page. Any one knows any other trix....

What model hardware? The product ID only shows up in my latest hardware. It is in the bios of the newer servers. But I am finding that as long as I have newer agents than 6.0, company/contact info on the system properties page and a Serial Number in the Bios then Contract module is working great.

Product ID was only introduced when serial numbers transitioned to 10 digits from 14 digits. If a product has a 14 digit s/n, it does not have a product ID. The transition roughly corresponds to the introduction of the ML/DL 3x0 G4 series...

That will explain, I'm missing this number on all type of servers including bades BL20P. So I need to make sure I have the latest BIOS ?, The old servers less than G4 do the Warranty/Contract module will work or this will be for the latest HP hardware...

As long as my older servers 380 G1's and 1850's even are pulling back info even to just say it's expired as long as there is a Serial Number in the bios of the server and agent level is greater than 6.0.

I still can't make it work, I have BL20P with latest BIOS, The serial number are 10 digits, the SP is 7.60, The only ones working are DL380 G3/G4 I event make a MSL6060 library report back... I also have DL580 G2 with same problem but I haven't done any work on them(BIOS,SP)
