SIM to OA passthrough uses IP address instead of hostname
Hi all
I have an HP SIM 6.0 Update 1 installation, with the c7000 enclosure. After some false-starts regarding reverse-lookups for proper name resolution (ok, ok, it's good practice, though Dynamic DNS wouldn't hurt too) I finally have my enclosure OAs registered in HP SIM using hostnames, and my iLOs too.
The problem now is that when I view the system page for the enclosure, I see the hostname of the active OA, but clicking through opens the OA page using the IP address instead of the hostname.
Opening the OA system page directly using the tree-view on the left panel of HP SIM allows me to click-through using the hostname just fine.
This is inconsistent, and in terms of issuing certificates is just bad practice to sign an IP address instead of a hostname. My organisation's CA policies prohibit this, so how do I get this functionality working?
