SIM upgrade from 4.2 to 5.x
I am upgrading SIM from our current version of 4.2 to version 5.x. I am wondering if you have to upgrade the management server first to get any management information from the clients that have been upgraded. Thanks in advance.

Re: SIM upgrade from 4.2 to 5.x
HPSIM doesn't care what version the client agents are at. But what you will need to do is update the certificates on the Managed clients if you use Trust By Certificate.

Re: SIM upgrade from 4.2 to 5.x
Actually, in an in-place upgrade, the certificate should be preserved and you should not have to do anything to the managed nodes.
As a precaution, it's probably best practice to backup that cert prior to an upgrade. That way you can lay the cert back down if need be; but shouldn't be needed.
