SIM Using Network Address Translation (NAT)
The HP Insight manager agents send alerts of thresholds/faults using SMNP, however we have servers setup through firewalls that we would like to manage, the problem being that SMNP doesn’t work when you are using Network Address Translation (NAT) the SNMP packet contains the original IP Address of the server which the SIM console doesn’t know about.
So my question is can you configure ether SNMP or the HP Agents to send the hostname as appose to the IP Address??
