SMTP configuration problems
I'm trying to configure SIM 5.3 on Windows 2008 using the First Time Wizard. I've specified our SMTP host a sender's email and a recipient email, however when I try testing I get an invalid sender's email address message. I can, however do this from a commandline using SMTP commands. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Re: SMTP configuration problems
All HPSIM needs is the hostname of the SMTP server, so it would point to an issue with the SMTP Server itself.
From the HPSIM Server you should be able to telnet to the SMTP Server on port 25. Issue a HELO and you should get a response. That basically proves the SMTP server will allow connections from the HPSIM Server. Beyond that it's the SMTP server that's handling the request.

Re: SMTP configuration problems
Once I completed the Wizard it worked, the test just failed during the Wizard. I did issue the Helo command successfully.
Thanks for your reply.

It worked after completing the Wizard.
