SNMP.EXE is hogging memory and CPU
I am having problems with certain servers and the process snmp.exe which is hogging CPU and memory which is causing Applications to go Very Slow.
I have had to stop and disable the service as a result which is not ideal.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Could it be a conflict with a Microsoft Patch?
regards

Re: SNMP.EXE is hogging memory and CPU
I have seen this on HP Netservers as well running the Toptool Agents, 5.5. What I did was uninstall snmp and then reinstall and that worked on several occasions. Depending on what type of monitoring you need, you could just use WMI, but snmp is best.
cheers,
Kim
