Software Status shows VCA not detected on system with VCR

The system which hosts the Version Control Repository, reports an Informational message(under Software Status) that the Version Control Agent is not detected. Since this system has the VCR installed, it does not (and can not) have the VCA installed. How do I get rid of this message? I've tried re-running discovery, identification and data collection but the message stays there. Any ideas??

I'm pretty sure that the VCA can (and should) be installed on a physical HPSIM Server unless that's changed in SIM 6. Can't test that as we're now all virtual.
It communicates to the VCRM in exactly the same way as the VCA on a remote server does.

I tried installing the VCA and receive the attached message, indicating that the VCA can not be installed on....

The DL1xx series have some limitations around what monitoring / vca agents they support.
My guess is that in this case it's going to be similar to running HPSIM on a virtual server and your stuck with the "i" icon.

If the server was built using Smart Start originally it will have all of the HP Software that the device supports. On DL3xx and above servers that includes all aspects of the Proliant Support Pack. In the downloads for the DL180, no PSP is listed.
