Some blades not showing up in SIM

I am running SIM 5.3 for windows and I am having an issue with three of my blades (2,& and 10)not showing up in SIM. I have tried about everything I know to resolve this issue but have failed. They have a valid IP for both iLO and the network and I can ping both. When I delete all the systems and do a discovery with just the OA they do not show up. If I do a discovery on just the IP they show up under all systmes but not in the enclosure view. SNMP is set and when I do a Identify Systems, it completes with no errors but still does not show up in the enclosure view. See attached

Re: Some blades not showing up in SIM

Hi,

I have the same problem, the server that won't show up is the actual SIM CMS server, so I can't delete and readd this. The server shows up fine in the actual blade OA page but on the SIM page it's just a blank blade by.

Anyone have any ideas?

Re: Some blades not showing up in SIM

I found the issue with mine. If you go into the properties of that server in SIM can you see the serial # and the PID? If not you will have to manually add the S/N and PID into the BIOS of that server under Advanced Options. Once you do that rediscover the server in SIM and it will then show up. I had reset the BIOS to dump a bad OS and apparently that erased the S/N and PID. If the SIM cannot see the S/N and PID then it will not form an association with the SIM.
