Sporatic Automatic Event Handling
I am testing HPSIM for basic up/down events of servers. I have two AEH Tasks that I want to email when a critical alert occurs.
One task is any critical event on any system. The second is any critical event on any system with a 'server role' of GroupA. (I am using server role to get around the fact HPSIM doesn't allow System Lists in the event criteria, a limitation I saw in another thread)
I would like to have the task based on 'server role' function but was experiencing inconsistency with emails coming and then not coming so I added the all critical one to verify my settings.
One thing to note is I always see the Unreachable message as a critical alert in HPSIM but do not always receive emails on the tasks.
My questions are:
Has anyone experienced issues with incosistent results of Event handling and notification?
Also, if I have two AEH task that match the same event, should I be receiving two emails? I would think so.
