Stand-alone Server unable to download update from VCR
Has anybody run into the issue of a stand-alone server not being able to download an update from the Version Control Repository?
I am using SIM 4.2, and have agents vs. 7.30 installed on client. I can get the updated list of versions but when I click on install update software and execute the install it errors out and tells me it cannot download the Smart Component file.
Any ideas?

Re: Stand-alone Server unable to download update from VCR
Try disabling (uncheck) 'Anonymous' access setting in System Management Homepage where VCR is installed.
Make sure that you are trying to access VCR using "administrator" or "operator" privilege.
If it doesnt work then can you tell the exact error message that is displayed in VCA log and the version of VCA, VCRM, PSP and the component that you are trying to install.

Re: Stand-alone Server unable to download update from VCR
I actually found the issue. I forgot to mention there was a firewall between the SIM and the managed system. We had opened up all ports indicated the SIM security doc except, port 2381. Once we opened that port it solved the problem. Thanks for your help!
