standard user account password expired, HPSIM, crashed and died ?
Hey guys,
When i was off for the Xmas break, my standard account for logging onto servers expired and HPSIM crashed and burned. Wouldn't run.
Once the password/account was sorted, it worked perfectly. Can't find any services on either the HPSIM machine, or the SQL machine that have my user account associated.
None of the protocol settings seem to be using my account...
Errors were.
Lost connection to database, exception: java.sql.SQLException: Login failed for user ''. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.
com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Error loading database verification handler 'com.hp.mx.database.MsSqlVerificationHandler'
com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Error accessing database
Any ideas please ?

Re: standard user account password expired, HPSIM, crashed and died ?
Welcome to HPSIM. The password you are referring to is embedded in a number of areas, including the database.
Once you updated the password, everything worked fine, I am sure. Thank your lucky stars that your CMS is not on a Wintel server. It gets really ugly there.

Re: standard user account password expired, HPSIM, crashed and died ?
Thanks for that.
However, the problem i have is that i need to re-set my password on a regular basis. So i can't have this using my personal login.
So how do i get it to run now using a system/service account please guys ?
It's not a question of keeping any information in the database etc, i've got a hosts file so if i need to wipe it 100% then so be it.... however i'd prefer not to.
