Strange Java console behavior
Hey folks . . .
Does anyone else besides me see any strange behavior when you try to click any of the links in the Java console?
For example . . .
1) When I try to click "Hardware Status" it comes up with "There are problems with initialization." Any ideas?
2) When I click *any* system name link, I expect to see information related to that particular machine. Instead, it clocks for a few seconds as though it's doing someting, then ends. No additional info comes up. (It also does this with "Software Version Status.")
3) The only column that seems to do anything is "Management Processor Status." When I click on one that doesn't have a ILO board, it says there isn't one (as it should). But when I click one that does, it gives me a blank screen.
I do not believe this is related to MS04-025. I've messed around with different IE advanced settings to no avail.
Has anyone else seen this?

Re: Strange Java console behavior
I would suggest you make sure its not a name resolution problem.
Also make sure you have your loopback in the SNMP settings.
localhost or 127.0.0.1
I have found in my case it was a dns issue and not JAVA. Add the servers in your host file and see it if functions correctly then troubleshoot from there.

Re: Strange Java console behavior
Another thing is to clear the Java Cache files using the Java Console Panel.
To try and narrow down where the issue lies, do you get the same from a different HPSIM login from a different Workstation?
What version of the JRE are you using?
