Subject: Insight Agent does not detect QLogic FC Adapter on BL25P running ESX 2.5.2

Hi,

first I have to apologize as this is a repost. I posted first in "Proliant Servers" but I think this forum is much more adequate for my question.

On a BL25P running ESX 2.5.2 i have installed and configured the Insight Agent 7.4.0b. NICs and Smart Array Controller are all properly detected. But the installed QLogic FC adapter is not recognized.

The output of "lspci" (only the lines regarding the FC adapters):
06:01.0 Fiber Channel: QLogic Corp QLA231x/2340 (rev 02)
06:01.1 Fiber Channel: QLogic Corp QLA231x/2340 (rev 02)

Are these adapters not supported by the Insight Agent or did I miss something?

Hi Thomas,

I've got the same problem.

Btw., it's interesting, in SIM 5.0 I see different light based on status of the LUN connected to the ESX-machine.

If connected, it's green. If not connected, it's orange.

Any help is appreciated
