Surveyor service keeps stopping?

Recently, on a couple of my servers the Surveryor service has been stopping and not restarting even though I have it set to restart upon failure. What could be causing it to stop all of a sudden?
I'm running HPSIM 5.1 on a W2K3 server. The servers in question are running W2K Std., and the HP Management Agents are at version 7.40.

Surveyor has been superseded by the Online Diagnostics utility.
I've removed Surveyor from servers where it caused problems.
