System Full DNS Names in HP SIM Do Not Show

Hello,

In HP SIM 4.2, when i click on a system page for a device, it shows its IP address and it shows the IP address for the Full DNS Name too. Why is that? this is for servers.

When I click on an iLO link to the system page, the iLO IP shows, but the FUll DNS name is blank. Can anyone help?

I went into the iLO's themselves, all my DNS settings are set etc...

I disabled DHCP because i use static bay configuration IP settings. Could that be the reason? Please help. THanks.

Do you have A & PTR records in the DNS, for the node.

If so, are the A & PTR records correct?
