System Management Homepage fails for logins

This is on redhat linux, if I set the hpsmh to allow local anaonymous you can get in, but If you choose login or set system to use logins the system locks up and fails. We had some system harding scripts run that limits access to various files. Any idea what rights the authentication modules associated with hpsmh needs in order to proces logins?

Hello Gregll,

Did you use the root user or did you give a group or other account rights to be able to logon to the homepage.
This can be changed under the settings in the System Management Homepage.
Default only root has access to the system management homepage.
