System Management Homepage not loading correctly

I seem to have a problem when running the Management Homepage on one of our servers. Each time it tries to load, it appears to time out with the following error:

A timeout occurred when while loading data for the HP System Management Homepage which may result in missing or imcomplete information. See the HP System Management Homepage log for additional information.

When looking through this log, it appears to be timing out on the Version Control Agent. I have re-installed this to no avail. Can anyone shed some light on this please as I'm at my wits end! Thanks, Paul.

Usually, timeouts with the VCA have to do with when it cannot connect to the Version Control Repository Manager. Is it configured to point to a server running VCRM? Are there any firewalls or other network obstructions between the server running VCA and the one running VCRM? Also, the VCA grabs local inventory data using SNMP - you may want to make sure the SNMP settings look ok.

Try restarting the Version control agent.

I found this is some sort of a bug on some machines - where it requires that the service be restarted after a boot
