Systems Insight manager and Windows 2003 Server Service Pack 1

I read http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;896367 and it stated to use the patch located at ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/supportsoftware/CP005001-005500/cp005124.exe for Systems Insight Manager.

Fine, no problem. Except that is 7.11.00. And the later version 7.3.00 is installed already on my servers.....so is it backwards compatible and Microsoft is just out-of-date ?
