Systems Insight Manager

We are currently using SIM 4.1 and Backup Exec 8.6 / 9.1 for our backups. I know it was possible with Compaq Insight Manager to receive Backup Traps from the backup servers to provide notifications of the previous nights backup job status. Can anyone please confirm that this functionality is available in SIM 4.1 and if so point me in the right direction for documentation/process required to achieve this.

You would need to locate MIBs for Backup Exec and then compile and register them with SIM using the procedure documented in the White Paper "Compiling and Customizing SNMP MIBs with hp Systems Insight Manager"
