Systems Management Homepage
I am running a number of DL360 Machines, and have been unable to login to the systems management homepage. I know the passwords that were originally allocated during build using Smartstart. I have tried reinstalling the management agents, but still have had no success. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Systems Management Homepage
I am assuming this is Windows, if not, if it is Linux it is somewhat easier. For Linux there should be an executable that gets installed with the agents called hpwebsetup, you can run that to reset the passwords for the SMH.
For Windows, you have to go about it a different way. If you happen to have a trust/certificate relationship setup with an HPSIM or IM7 server then you can use HPSIM or IM7 to group configure the passwords for those systems. If not, you can re-install the agents. However, you need to preconfigure the componenet first and set the password. That can be done in RDU, you have to make sure you check the box that states you want to overwrite an existing configuration. Then when you install, I believe you need to make sure you use the force flag because installs will not necessarily install over the top of the same version unless you use "force".
If you don't want to reinstall on all the systems you can do it on one and make sure it works and then copy the cpqhmmd.acl file that holds the passwords to the other systems. The agent's user guide actually has steps on how to do that. Good Luck,
-Rich
