TAP -> UCP conversion (TAP login rejected)

Does anyone know if it's possible to convert the TAP output from SIM 4.1 to UCP before sending it to the message centre?

I am trying to send to a Message Centre here in Belgium (Proximus). Everything hardware-wise is working fine, but I keep getting "TAP login rejected" from the message centre. I am guessing that it's to do with the provider not accepting TAP transmissions.

Does anybody have any experience of this? If so I'd appreciate some pointers. Even a third-party tool would do fine.

OK, I solved the problem! It was nothing to do with TAP, but because I was using an ISDN modem. If the modem is left at v.120 (64k) it doesn't negotiate correctly with the message centre. Once I changed it to v.34, it was fine.
